Having graduated from the National Film, Television and Theatre School in Lodz, Pokrycki is a press photographer, interested above all in social themes. For three years he has worked on a cycle of documentary portraits showing families during the most important ceremonies in the Catholic life: Christenings, First Communions, weddings and funerals [The Rites of Passage (Rytualy przejscia), 2007]. He also photographed workers in the declining industrial plants [Labourers (Robotnicy), 2003]. He has cooperated with the newspaper Super Express and the Photography Agency Reporter, and currently works with such magazines as Przekroj, Claudia or Computerworld.
